The area is incredibly rich in history, with many of the city's museums and tourist sites located within the neighborhood. You can splash out at a high end restaurant like Schnitzelei Mitte, or head to trendy Hackescher Markt, where cafes and shops are located within a series of labyrinthine courtyards.
