It is surrounded by lush parks and embassy gardens and represents an ideal place for walks or jogging and a swimming pool is also close by. The peaceful Köllnischer Park around the corner hosts the living symbol of Berlin: two brown bears. From the apartment in 5-10 minutes walk you reach the historic Nikolaiviertel and the central Alexanderplatz (2 stops by subway). The stations Märkisches Museum, Heinrich-Heinestrasse and Jannowitzbrücke giving access to five major subway and train lines can be reached in short walks. Boat trips through Berlin can be taken from the nearby riverbank. Despite its very central location the neighbourhood remains a peaceful port.
