We are situated between the University Square and the castle, so you really won't need a car to explore the old part of town. You can walk down our hill to Germany's longest pedestrian precinct or you go up a bit to the castle. From there you can walk through the woods or go hiking up to Molkenkur and Königstuhl. Lots of trails for mountain bikers, too.
