I live on the 4th floor in a garden apartment building in Mitte, it's generally quiet. 2 minutes walking to VolksparkFriedrichshain! Very lovely in the summer. Also walking distance to Kollwitzkiez :) The apartment building is 2 tram stops away from Alexanderplatz where you can take the u-bahn and train to anywhere. It's very central The price for the apartment is 450 euro for the whole apartment with all of it, warm, incl. Fully equipped kitchen with fridge and oven and washing machine.
