+Exclusive temporary accommodation in the Elbpalais+Located at the Blue Wonder in Loschwitz+View of the Elbe and the Blue Wonder+Residential and commercial buildingDue to their scenic beauty and the wonderful view far into the Elbe valley, the Loschwitz Elbe slopes have always been one of the city's preferred residential areas. The steel framework construction between Loschwitz and Blasewitz, built between 1891 and 1893, was considered a technical marvel at the time. It owes its name to its light blue paint, but is officially called the Loschwitz Bridge. Two mountain railways start from the neighboring Körnerplatz. The Blue WonderThe Blue Wonder is a landmark of the city. Since 1893, the Loschwitz Bridge has connected the Dresden villa districts of Loschwitz and Blasewitz. It was built on the basis of a design by civil engineer Claus Köpcke together with the Saxon ironworks Königin-Marien-Hütte as a so-called "stiffened suspension bridge".The steel framework construction was one of the first bridges in Europe without piers and was a technical masterpiece at the time. This is why it is nicknamed the "Blue Wonder", with blue referring to its colour. According to a rumour, the bridge was originally green and miraculously turned blue due to weather influences. This turned out to be false information due to historical references to the bridge's first coat of paint. The Loschwitz Bridge was painted in a shade of blue right at the time of its inauguration in 1893.
