There are various lovely cafés and restaurants and all kinds of shops nearby the apartment, including a large bio market and an ordinary supermarket a 3-5 minute walk away. The stations Märkisches Museum, Heinrich-Heine and Jannowitzbrücke giving access to five major subway and train lines can be reached in 2-5 minute walk. It takes 5-10 minutes to walk to the historic Nikolaiviertel and to the Alexanderplatz (2 stops by subway). Boat trips through Berlin can be taken from the nearby riverbank. Despite its very central location the neighbourhood remains a peaceful haven away from urban noise and stress.
