The hostess lives on the ground floor of the same house and on the upper floor there is a storage room for the hostess next to the rooms. The hostess speaks fluent English (in addition to German) and good French.
The nearest bus stop is called Biederbach Singlershof in the OT Kirchhöfe and is a 7-10 minute walk from the house. The bus comes every hour and takes around 15 minutes to Elzach train station. The train runs every hour from Elzach to Freiburg main station in around 45 minutes.
A small village shop with Cafe Schätzle is located in the center of Biederbach Village, about 5 minutes by car. Supermarkets and shops and weekly markets are in the neighboring towns of Elzach (approx. 10 minutes' drive), Waldkirch (approx. 20 minutes' drive) and Haslach im Kinzigtal (approx. 20 minutes' drive).
The historical path and other beautiful hiking trails start right in front of the house. The Kandelhöhenweg and the 2 Tälersteig almost pass the farm and offer fantastic distant views over the Black Forest. The highest panoramic mountains in the area are around 1200m high - the Rohrardsberg and the Kandel.

Die Gastgeberin lebt im Erdgeschoss des selben Hauses und im OG ist neben den Zimmern ein Lagerraum der Gastgeberin untergebracht. Die Gastgeberin spricht (neben deutsch) fliessend englisch und gut französisch.
Die nächste Bushaltestelle heißt- Biederbach Singlershof- im OT Kirchhöfe und ist 7-10 Gehminuten vom Haus entfernt. Der Bus kommt stündlich und fährt ca. 15 Minuten Fahrzeit bis zum Bahnhof Elzach. Der Zug fährt stündlich von Elzach aus in ca. 45 Minuten zum Freiburger Hauptbahnhof.
Ein kleiner Dorfladen mit Cafe Schätzle befindet sich in Biederbach Dorf Ortsmitte, ca 5 min mit dem Auto. Supermärkte und Läden und Wochenmarkt sind in den Nachbarorten Elzach ( ca 10 min Fahrzeit) , Waldkirch (ca 20 min Fahrzeit) und Haslach im Kinzigtal (ca 20 min Fahrzeit) .
