The Kunstquartier Westwerk and the large tower of the Felsenkeller in the immediate vicinity of the apartment offer art, readings, theatre, cinema and dance events. The Karl-Heine Canal, where you can relax and rent a canoe or explore the surroundings on foot, is only two minutes away from my apartment. The tram to get to the city centre or the train station is also only two minutes away from the apartment. Fast forgotten – and yet so important: around the corner, of course, there's the best Späti (24-hour kiosk) in town, where you can stock up on everything you need, if only the bagpipe beer. For larger purchases, a net supermarket is about 200 meters away. Since the apartment is located in a side street, noise is not an issue.
