Welcome to our family haven! Our turn-of-the-century flat with very high ceilings offers plenty of space, light and comfort for up to 4 people (or 5 if, for example, more than two children share the kids’ room). From the small front hallway you turn left into the kitchen, which is fitted with modern appliances and has a small kitchen table with three seats. There is also a small pantry here. Next to the kitchen you enter a bathroom with shower, washing machine and dryer and, beside it, the guest WC. From the hallway you continue into the heart of the apartment: the bright, generous living room with a large sofa, home cinema system and access to the balcony. The balcony and large windows bring in lots of light and fresh air and offer a pleasant view of the cherry trees in the middle of the very quiet street. Directly adjoining the living room is the dining room, which can be closed off with a beautiful double sliding door. It also has a small bay window with a cosy reading chair. The dining room can likewise be reached from the front hallway. Another door from the front hallway leads to one of the two bedrooms: the children’s bedroom with a large loft platform that can take two single mattresses, plus plenty of room to play (or work) underneath. If required, an additional single or double bed can be set up in the lower part of this room. From here, as well as from the living room, a second door opens into the rear hallway, at the end of which lies the parents’ bedroom with a large double bed (180 × 200 cm) and a big window facing the attractive, light-filled courtyard. Right next to the rear bedroom is another bathroom with bathtub and its own toilet. A further small bedroom in the middle of the rear hallway will stay locked and serve us as temporary storage, so the rest of the apartment offers as much space as possible for the subtenants. The entire flat has parquet or floorboard flooring; the kitchen and bathrooms are tiled. The location is superb: an idyllic, very quiet street only 100 metres from the expansive Volkspark. At the same time, Innsbrucker Platz and Rathaus Schöneberg—two ideal public-transport hubs—are virtually on the doorstep. The rightly famous Schöneberg neighbourhoods, with their unique charm and abundance of restaurants, bars and shops, are close by, yet you don’t have to sacrifice peace and greenery.
