Originally a working-class area, the district is now a trendy melting pot, that offers a colourful mix of architecture, culture and gastronomy.Imagine small traditional houses, Bavarian pubs and railway romance. Giesing has retained its village character until today. Here, locals stroll along the romantic Auer Mühlbach and visit the Grünwalder Stadium on weekends to attend a 1860 Munich soccer match. Not without first treating themselves to a Maß Bier in one of the rustic Boazn (pubs) or the local brewery Giesinger Bräu and then celebrating heartily in the colourful Tegernseer Landstraße.
