Since the municipal reform of 1969, Bonn has been divided into four city districts. The largest is the Bonn district, where almost half of all Bonn residents live. The popular districts of Ippendorf, Venusberg, and the lively Poppelsdorf are all within easy reach of Fridtjof-Nansen-Straße and also belong to the Bonn city district. The Kottenforst and Waldau recreational areas are practically on the doorstep.
